My experience at Baylis Cirencester

I would not recommend Baylis Cirencester because
I have not received the vehicle due to a various mechanical faults discovered on the test drive. Unbeknownst to me the finance agreement was set up before I even test drove the vehicle on the basis that they would like to have the finance ready as the test drive was on a Saturday and the finance company may be shut. One week on and still not fixed an engine management light with no definite date given.
Baylis have offered to refund deposit and revoke the finance, however it’s difficult to keep applying for finance in such a short period. Oh did I mention I drove from Birmingham, you’d have thought they’d prep the vehicle.

My experience at Baylis Cirencester

I would not recommend Baylis Cirencester because everything was in their favour as they did not engage in any negotiation on price so paid asking price plus 2 year warranty despite paying in full and in time to meet their end of financial year.
There were a number of other things:
-light scratches (expected for a vehicle of its age) that they were going to ‘touch in’ to make them look better - the result was no difference (and there was additional scratches in one area since the initial inspection and test drive).
-wasn’t told the second key was not a key fob so when this key is used it sets off the car alarm
-had to wait an additional day to collect the vehicle due to the salesperson having a day off
-did not put fuel in the vehicle as agreed at the point of sale - I had to remind them of this upon collection of the vehicle
Overall, happy with the car itself but did not enjoy the sales process and too much focus on the upsell products. Having bought 4 previous vehicles from Baylis over the years, this has been my most disappointing experience and would not be my first choice for future purchases.
